My Poshmark Offers to Likers Strategy

POSHMARK TIPS, RESELLER TIPS, SELL YOUR CLOTHING, OFFERS TO LIKERS

The Poshmark Offers to Likers, or “OTL”, feature is a mighty one. So mighty in-fact that other platforms have taken notice and implemented similar features (we see you Mercari and eBay!). If you are not using this daily, you should be. And I am going to tell you exactly how.

Today, I am going to share with you my Offers to Likers strategy that keeps the sales rolling into my closet!

My strategy is simple and only two parts.

PART ONE: Within ten minutes of an item receiving a like, I send a 10% + $4.99 shipping offer to the liker. Or as soon as possible, ie. likes received overnight.

PART TWO: Every Thursday and Friday I send out 20% + reduced shipping offers on my entire closetMy current closet size is 600 items, therefore I split my full closet offers between two days. If you have a smaller closet, I highly recommend sending out all offers on Thursday (hello, payday!).

Important things to note:

  • Offers must be at least 10% below your lowest offer in the last 30 days.
  • You can send an offer for any dollar amount you want, as long as it is 10% lower than the last offer. I find this hard to track and just choose to stick with the given 10%, 20% and 30% reductions.
  • Offers with free shipping are great, if you have room in your margin for this. I save free shipping offers for my higher priced items that haven’t moved in a significant amount of time.

I also feel the need to mention that just because this strategy works for me, doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for you. All of our Poshmark closets, customer bases and even business plans are DIFFERENT. That is the beauty of Poshmark!

xx, Shari

Hi Shari! I love your strategy and thank you for posting it! I was already doing something similar but wasn’t sure about my method. I am fairly new to poshmark but have thankfully been having more success than I originally expected and after my first sale I became obsessed! My question is what do you typically do if someone likes more than one item? I’ve had that happen several times now and I’m always conflicted on what to do. Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks again for posting! I’ve definitely given some of my success to blogs just like yours!

Hi Samantha- thanks for your comment! When someone likes more than one item, I will add it to a bundle for them and send them an offer on the bundle. This has been successful for me multiple times and I am always happy to provide a deeper discount on a bundle than on one item! Hope this helps.

I got an offer on one of my higher priced dresses. Lower than I want to accept (40% discount) on a rather newly listed item. I’ve had a lot of likes on this listing. Is it rude or bad form to send out a discount offer to all likers? I haven’t sent out any offers on this dress.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Brigitte! Personally, I have done this many times but it rarely results in a sale for me, but it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try! My best advice is to counter back on the offer that you received, never decline!

I’m somewhat new and haven’t mad many sales. How do you offer the Thurs/Fri discounts? Via general listing announcement or an offer to likers?
