First, you may be wondering “What is a Poshmark Party?”. Simply put, these are themed showrooms where you can share your items. Parties happen four times a day, each with a rotating theme. When you share your items directly to these parties, you gain a higher level of visibility and higher chance of selling your items.
Each party lasts two hours and is super simple to share to! When viewing your closet, you can use the Bulk Listing Action of Share to Party and it will automatically sort to only items that fit the party theme. Make sure to share your closet during these times and share items that fit the description directly to these parties.
The 4 parties are as follows, times are in Eastern Standard Time:
12 noon: Brand Party
Examples: as I am writing this today’s Brand Party is “Preppy: Polo by Ralph Lauren, L.L. Bean, Keds & More”, and the included list of brands within the party guidelines is quite extensive. Brands include J. Crew, Hunter, Vera Bradley and others.
3 pm: Sub-Category Party
Examples: Best in Jeans, Best in Swim, Best in Dresses & Skirts, etc.
7 pm: Category Party
Examples: Everything Kids, Everything Plus Size, Men’s Style, Best in Maternity, etc.
10 pm: Theme Party
This one a is a free for all! They pick cute names for the parties such as “Catching Rays Posh Party” and “Together We Posh Party”, but all items can be shared to the night party, so share away!
Host Picks
When viewing a party, you may notice there are Poshmark sellers that are running the party. These are Poshmark Ambassadors that have applied and been chosen to host the party. Party hosts have the fun job of choosing “Host Picks”, items of their liking that they choose to share to a party. Host picks are fun as other sellers love to share and comment on host pick items, leading to increased engagement and traffic in your closet.
Party Hosts
So, how can you become a Party Host? It’s easy! Poshmark has a form on their website where you can easily apply. You must meet certain criteria, such as being a Poshmark Ambassador and in good standing (not selling prohibited items or violating community guidelines, for example). There is also often a waitlist- to host a night-time party the waitlist can be months long! If you are interested in applying to be a Party Host, you can apply HERE.
