Shuffle through some of your favorite, top Poshmark sellers and you will notice a trend- lots and lots of followers! 100k, 500k, even 1 million + followers. But how did they make that happen? I am going to show you exactly how to increase your Poshmark following.
1.Share Groups: These are listings within Poshmark with hundreds, even thousands, of users that take turns sharing each other’s closets and following their followers. These groups are great for new users and are sure to bring activity to your closet. It is controversial whether or not these share groups and the activity involved result in sales, but is definitely a great start for new Poshers. You can simply search listings for “Share Group” and have your pick.

2.Strategic Following: This involves finding similar listings to yours and following all of the likers of that listing. For example, if I am selling a pair of Mother jeans in size 26, I will find all similar listings for this brand and size and follow the likers. You can even go a step further and share 5-10 listings from each user as you are following them. It takes longer to see results from this method, but considering you are targeting users who like what you are selling, it is more likely to result in a sale.
3.Mass Following: This involves following thousands of users a day with the hope of getting a follow back at the very least. One way to do this is to go a Poshmark closet that is similar to yours, or of your favorite seller, and following all of their followers. Poshmark on both the web and the app will only show you their most recent 1,000 followers in alphabetical order. Repeat for as many closets as your fingers have the energy for!
The other way to do this is through the “Find People” tab at the top of your feed. My favorites to follow are “New People” and “My Brands” (filtered to “Active Sellers”, “All Brands”). In my experience with mass following, I have seen that about 30-50% of users will follow back. It has also been said that you can follow up to 10,000 users per day.
*As of 2022, you can no longer filter by “All Brands”. You can, however, still filter by Active Sellers of any one specific brand. For example, Active Sellers of Reformation.
Do the math- If you follow 10,000 users per day, you can basically expect 3-5,000 new followers a day. Do this for a month- and you have a recipe for 100,000+ new followers in only one months time!
Have a following method that works for you? I would love to hear it!
